Photo ID

Provide a copy of your photo ID, which could be your passport, driver's license, or any ID with your photo, full name, and date of birth.

Desired Period of Residence

Tell us how long you plan to stay at Otherhome. You can choose a minimum of 4 months and up to a maximum of 12 months.

Expected Move-in Date

Let us know when you plan to move in. Your exact move-in date helps us ensure your accommodation is ready when you arrive.

If you spot a property you like on our website or Flatmates,
reach out to us, and our sales agent will provide you with an application link.

2. Choose Your Inspection Option
You have the flexibility to decide whether you want to attend
the inspection in person or opt for a real-time video tour.
We understand that your schedule may not always allow for in-person visits,

3. Open Inspection Day​
On the inspection day, our agent will be there to assist you.
They'll answer your questions, provide a tour of the house,
and capture a real-time video for everyone interested in the property.
Don't worry about bringing anything with you; just come as you are.​

4. Apply For The Room​
Following the inspection, you'll receive an email with real videos of the property.
To apply for the room, simply respond to the email with the three pieces
of information we need: a photo ID, your desired stay duration,
and your preferred move-in date.​

5. Application Review​
Once you've submitted your application, we'll gather the information and forward it to the landlord for the final selection process. Typically, you can expect to receive the outcome within 1-2 business days.​

6. Secure Your Room​
If you're selected by the landlord, our sales team will guide you
through the next steps. This includes depositing the security bond
(equivalent to 2 weeks' rent) and signing the tenancy agreement
online via Docusign.​

Regarding your question about electricity costs, we would like to inform you that the average weekly cost for electricity on our properties is around $10-$20. However, it may vary depending on the size of the property and the season.

We cannot guarantee the exact amount of your electricity bill since it depends on usage and other factors. However, we can provide you with a rough estimate based on previous bills and usage patterns.

Generally, we receive applications until the next day after the inspection and then send all applicant information to the landlord. If we do not provide the information according to Otherhome’s new contract process by the next day after the inspection, it may not be possible to apply.

Depending on the situation, it may take one to two business days to receive a response after the information is provided to the landlord. As soon as the results are available, our Property Management Team will notify you immediately.

Otherhome share houses are mostly mixed cultures/genders. However, House 43 in Parkside and House 47 in Glenunga are operated exclusively for women.

Otherhome does not provide any personal information about tenants, including gender, occupation, race, or nationality. Therefore, please refrain from asking for personal information.
